I had this conversation with a friend about the thing with the snooze option when we set the alarm clock on handphone. Well we use the same hp brand which is SonyE and when the alarm snoozes, i just can't help wondering why the snooze is set to 9 minutes? why not 10, 13, or 27 minutes? Tak caya if u got a SonyE hp, go n check.
Last night when i was browsing for my wishlist i accidently found the answer!! Rupa2nya we're not the only one (two) who had been very curious all this while! ade jugak org lain yg dok tade keje serabutkan kepala pike psl bende nih! hehehe. klaka klaka. So, here's the answer to the "curiousity killed the cat" question!
As for myself, i always let the alarm to snooze for 27 minutes. 3 kali snooze that is, baru bole bangun sebena! hehe
Wakey wakey up ppl!! It's just another manic monday!! Rise and shine!! ;)

Basically when the snooze feature was added to alarm clocks in the fifties, the new parts needed to mesh with existing gear configuration. This forced engineers to create a snooze that lasted just over nine and ten minutes. Apparently ten minutes was too long for a snooze because people were falling back into deep sleep, so nine minutes became the standard snooze time on alarm clocks. It's a standard we still use today.
