I'm wearing a baju kebarung with cute floral print today. It's my mom's. I matched it with purple scarf to go with the kebarung. Well the floral print has multicolor flowers on cream background - there are orange, yellow and purple flowers. And the dominant colors of the flowers are orange and yellow. The purple flowers are the tiniest amongst others, or in other words purple is not the dominant color here. And since i don't have any scarf in yellow or orange to match with the kebarung, i decided to go with purple scarf.
As i was dressing up to work this morning, i've thot about the consequences of wearing the kebarung together with the purple scarf where purple is only the minor color on the print. You know people might think that i don't know how to mix and match when dressing up because normally when choosing a matching scarf, people will choose the most obvious color on the clothes which is visible to the eyes. People might notice that i'm not wearing a matching combo.
Well i'm not the kind of person who loves to wrap myself from head to toe in same color when dressing up. It's just so not my character. Eceh. Not to say that i'm really a fashionista or something, but i think i know a lil bit bout fashion. I know what i'm wearing.
Back to the point of story-telling, hehe, when i was in the ladies room to freshen up, i took off my scarf and hung it at the door knob. And out of nowhere, there was this one lady suddenly inquired me whose scarf was hanging at the knob. Hah! finally, someone did notice!! I said it was mine. And she was like so surprised to find out that the scarf was actually mine because she cudn't see any purple color on my clothes!! And i told her yeah there is purple color if she looked closely. And she was like "hmm... ok.." and apologized for questioning such thing and claimed that she's a short-sighted and forgot to wear her glasses today. Haha, what a cute excuse and way of apologizing!! I know she was just trying to be polite. But, i don't mind at all if she didn't apologize since i've already expected such question wud eventually flew out from someone's mouth, seriously. Well as long as i know what i'm wearing and feel good and comfy with what i wear, i don't mind at all getting such comment! ;)
And of course, hell no, I wont wear something which is totally out of this world either, like matching my orange top to go with pink and green scarf! No, NO WAY!!
